HOW GOVXTRAC WORKS
01

Award Scanning

The screener queries federal award records published by USAspending.gov across AI, defense tech, cybersecurity, aerospace and space at the moment you run it.

02

Entity Mapping

Contract recipients matched to publicly traded small-cap tickers using a curated defense and tech entity database.

03

Event Study Analysis

Award value is measured against the company's market capitalisation and annual revenue, so a contract is judged by its size relative to the business that won it.

04

Ranked Signals

Results are ranked by that relative impact and labelled with the evidence behind each match. Facts about awards, not predictions about prices.

Why This Exists
BUILT OUT OF FRUSTRATION

Federal contract awards are public. Anyone can read them. The problem is that USAspending.gov lists recipients by legal entity name, and those names rarely resemble a stock ticker. Working out whether an award actually landed at a company you can buy meant hours of cross-referencing filings by hand.

GOVXTRAC does that work automatically. It scans awards, resolves recipients to public companies, and measures each award against the size of the business that won it — because a $50M contract means nothing at a defence prime and a great deal at a $200M contractor.

It also shows its work. Every match displays the evidence behind it, a confidence figure, and any conflict found — including when the system suspects it has matched the wrong company. Both source records are one tap away so you can check it yourself.

What it will not do is tell you what to buy. GOVXTRAC reports facts about federal awards and public filings. What those facts mean for your money is your decision, and a licensed professional is the right person to help you make it.

NO PERFORMANCE CLAIMS

GOVXTRAC publishes no track record, no model portfolio and no return figures, because it has not run long enough to produce an honest one. When it has, the complete record will be published — every company surfaced, measured against a benchmark, winners and losers together. Anything less than that is marketing, not evidence.

HOW TO USE GOVXTRAC

A complete guide to the Screener, the Dashboard, and how the two work together.

01
THE TWO HALVES — START HERE

GOVXTRAC has two components that do different jobs. Understanding the difference is the fastest way to get value from it.

THE SCREENER — DISCOVERY
Starts with contract awards, not companies. It reads recent federal awards, works out which public company each recipient belongs to, and measures the award against that company's market cap.

It has no fixed list. It can surface a company neither you nor we had heard of.

Answers: who just won something large relative to their size?
THE DASHBOARD — MONITORING
Starts with companies. A curated list organised into market-cap tiers, plus anything you have saved from the Screener.

It does not discover. It goes deep: live price, seven time ranges, technicals, fundamentals, insider activity, and historical growth.

Answers: is this company actually worth my attention?
How they connect: when the Screener surfaces something interesting, tap SAVE TO DASHBOARD. It joins your watchlist and the Dashboard begins pulling full live data for it. Screener finds it → Dashboard qualifies it.
⚠ Always verify a match. The Screener connects award recipients to tickers automatically, and that process can be wrong — particularly where a business unit was sold but kept a name resembling its former parent. Every result shows its matching method, a confidence figure, and any location conflict found. Before acting on anything, confirm the award at USAspending.gov and the corporate relationship in the company's own SEC filings.
02
HOW AN AWARD IS MEASURED

A contract number on its own tells you almost nothing. $50 million is a rounding error at a defence prime and a transformation at a $200 million contractor. GOVXTRAC measures every award three ways so the size is always relative to the business that won it.

% OF MARKET CAP
Award value against what the market says the whole company is worth. Quick to read, but market cap moves with sentiment and can be detached from the business.
BOOK-TO-BILL
Awards in the window, annualised, against the company's filed annual revenue. A ratio above 1 means it is booking work faster than it is currently billing.
EST. EARNINGS IMPACT
The one that usually matters most. Estimated annual profit from the award, compared with the profit the company already earns. This is what can actually move a share price.
Why earnings and not just market cap: a share price ultimately follows earnings. A large award against a small market cap looks dramatic, but if the company is barely profitable or the work carries thin margins, the effect on earnings can be small. Equally, a modest award at a company earning very little can be substantial. Ranking by Earnings impact in the Screener sorts by that measure directly.
⚠ Earnings impact is an estimate. Federal award records do not publish contract duration or margin. GOVXTRAC assumes work is spread over three years and applies the company's own filed net margin where available, or a 6% sector figure where it is not. Each result states which basis was used. Treat it as a rough order of magnitude, not a forecast.

WHAT IS GOVXTRAC?

GOVXTRAC is a government contract intelligence and research platform focused on small- and mid-cap equities up to roughly $10B in market capitalisation. It tracks federal procurement awards across AI, defense technology, cybersecurity, and aerospace.

The core research question: do government contract awards correlate with subsequent equity price performance? This is not a trading system. It is a financial data research and statistical correlation platform.

⚠ Important: GOVXTRAC does not provide investment advice. Always consult a licensed financial advisor before making any investment decision. Past correlation does not guarantee future performance.

Government spends $700B a year.
We track where it goes.

GOVXTRAC is a research platform that connects federal procurement activity to small-cap equity exposure — the layer of the market that's too small for institutional coverage and too complex for retail investors to track alone.

The Opportunity
A blind spot in a $700B market
The Problem
Federal contract awards are public record, but they're buried in USAspending.gov's raw database — unreadable for retail investors and unprofitable for institutional research desks to cover at small-cap scale. A $50M Army contract that could double a $300M company's revenue goes completely unnoticed by the market for weeks.
The Solution
GOVXTRAC translates federal procurement activity into a structured, research-grade dashboard — organized by market cap tier, cross-referenced with real fundamentals, live pricing, insider trading activity, and multi-year price history. What used to take hours of manual digging is now a single screen.
Why Now
Three tailwinds converging

Defense budgets are expanding. AI, drone, and space procurement is growing faster than traditional defense spending, and small-cap contractors are capturing disproportionate share of new program awards.

Retail investors want an edge. Post-2021, retail investors have shown sustained appetite for data tools that surface information institutions have had for decades — look at the growth of Quiver Quantitative, Fintel, and similar alt-data platforms.

No one owns this specific niche. Bloomberg Government and GovWin cover this space for enterprise clients at five-figure annual contracts. Nothing exists at the $39–$499/month price point for individual investors and small RIAs.

What compounds over time
  • 01
A curated, continuously-verified mapping between federal contract recipients and public tickers — this data layer gets harder to replicate the longer it exists.
  • 02
Historical price-and-contract-event correlation data accumulates with every quarter GOVXTRAC operates, creating a compounding research asset that's expensive for a new entrant to rebuild from scratch.
  • 03
Category positioning: first mover at the retail/small-RIA price point in a niche the enterprise players have priced out of reach.

Where This Actually Stands
What is built, and what is not
RUNNING TODAY
Live award scanning against USAspending. Entity resolution from the SEC company file. Award-to-market-cap and award-to-revenue scoring. Location corroboration against SEC filing addresses. A plausibility gate that flags awards implausibly large for the company matched. Full monitoring dashboard with live fundamentals, technicals and insider activity. Public REST endpoint.
NOT BUILT YET
No backtest. No measured match-accuracy figure. No payments, accounts or alerting. No corporate-parent resolution, so a divested business unit can still match its former parent's ticker. The curated 40-company list is editorial, not derived. These are the gaps a raise would close, in that order.
ON PERFORMANCE CLAIMS

GOVXTRAC makes none. There is no track record, no model portfolio, no return figure — because the platform has not run long enough to produce one honestly. The intended path is to log every company the screener surfaces, with dates, and publish the complete outcome against a benchmark. That record, including the failures, is worth more to a professional buyer than any selected success story. It is also the only basis on which an accuracy figure could responsibly be quoted.

KNOWN LIMITATION, STATED PLAINLY

Entity resolution produces false positives. A documented case: an award to a business unit sold years earlier still matched its former parent's ticker. The system now flags that pattern through location and revenue-plausibility checks and surfaces the warning to the user, but the underlying difficulty is real and is the core engineering problem of this business. Any competitor faces it too. Solving it well is the moat.

RAISING
GOVXTRAC is raising a pre-seed round to build the entity-resolution and backtesting engine behind the platform, extend the screener, and fund legal and compliance review ahead of institutional clients.
Full investor materials — including financial detail, projections, and round terms — are available on request.
Forward-Looking Statement. This page contains forward-looking statements about market opportunity, business strategy, and projected growth. These are estimates based on available public information and founder analysis, not guarantees of future performance. This is not an offer to sell securities and does not constitute a solicitation of any investment. Any investment discussion is subject to definitive documentation, investor qualification, and applicable securities law.
TRACK RECORD

Every company the screener has surfaced on this device, from the date it first appeared. Winners and losers together. No selection.

⚠ What this is and is not. This is a log of what the screener displayed, measured from the price on the day it first appeared. It is not a portfolio, not a set of recommendations, and assumes no position was ever taken. It excludes dividends, fees, taxes and slippage. Appearing in the screener means a company won a federal award relative to its size — nothing more. A sample of this size proves very little; treat it as a record being built, not evidence.

2. NOT INVESTMENT ADVICE — CRITICAL DISCLAIMER
IMPORTANT: GOVXTRAC IS NOT A REGISTERED INVESTMENT ADVISOR, BROKER-DEALER, OR FINANCIAL PLANNER. NOTHING ON THIS PLATFORM CONSTITUTES INVESTMENT ADVICE OR A SOLICITATION TO BUY OR SELL ANY SECURITY.

All content, data, signals, ratings, fundamentals, and charts provided by GOVXTRAC are for informational and educational purposes only. Before any investment decision, consult a licensed financial advisor, conduct independent due diligence, and review all relevant SEC filings and public disclosures.

3. DESCRIPTION OF SERVICE

GOVXTRAC provides a data analytics and research platform studying the relationship between federal government contract awards and publicly traded equities. The Platform has two distinct components:

The Screener queries federal contract award records published by USAspending.gov, attempts to resolve each award recipient to a publicly traded company using the SEC's published company and ticker data, and expresses the award value as a proportion of that company's market capitalization. Results are generated at the time a query is run.

The Dashboard monitors a curated list of companies selected by GOVXTRAC. It displays live market price data, historical price ranges, computed technical indicators, company fundamental data, insider transaction summaries, and historical investment-growth figures. The Dashboard does not perform discovery; it monitors companies already on the list, together with any companies a user has saved from the Screener.

Technical indicators shown on the Platform (including relative strength, moving averages, volatility measures, and range position) are calculated by GOVXTRAC from historical closing prices. They are arithmetic descriptions of past price behaviour and are not forecasts.

Historical investment-growth figures (for example, the value a hypothetical $10,000 position would have reached) are calculated from unadjusted historical closing prices. They exclude dividends, commissions, fees, taxes, and slippage, and assume a single purchase held without alteration. They describe past prices only. Past performance does not indicate or guarantee future results.

All fundamental data should be independently verified through official company filings. GOVXTRAC does not display third-party advertising of any kind; the Platform is supported entirely by subscription revenue.

4. THIRD-PARTY DATA AND INSIDER TRANSACTION INFORMATION

GOVXTRAC displays market price data, historical price ranges, and insider transaction summaries sourced from third-party public data providers. Insider transaction data reflects information reported in SEC filings (including Forms 3, 4, and 5) as aggregated and made available through third-party financial data services. This data may be incomplete, delayed, or contain errors introduced by the underlying data provider.

GOVXTRAC does not independently verify insider transaction data against original SEC filings before display. Users should verify any insider transaction information directly through the SEC's EDGAR database (sec.gov/edgar) before relying on it for any purpose. Historical price ranges across all time periods (1-day through 5-year) are provided for research and contextual purposes only and are not a guarantee of future price behavior.

5. CONTRACT DATA AND ENTITY RESOLUTION — ACCURACY LIMITATIONS
IMPORTANT: MATCHING A FEDERAL AWARD RECIPIENT TO A PUBLICLY TRADED COMPANY IS AN AUTOMATED, PROBABILISTIC PROCESS. IT PRODUCES ERRORS. DO NOT RELY ON ANY MATCH WITHOUT VERIFYING IT YOURSELF.

Federal contract awards identify recipients by legal entity name. Those names frequently do not correspond to any stock ticker, and the relationship between a named recipient and a publicly traded parent may be indirect, historical, or nonexistent. GOVXTRAC attempts to resolve recipient names to public companies using name matching, corroborating evidence, and comparison of the recipient's filed location against the company's SEC filing address.

This process can produce two kinds of error. It may fail to connect an award to the correct company. More seriously, it may connect an award to the wrong company — for example where a business unit has been sold to a different owner but continues to operate under a name resembling that of its former parent, or where unrelated companies share similar names.

Each Screener result displays the matching method, a confidence figure, and any location conflict detected. These indicators are provided so that users can assess reliability. A high confidence figure is not a warranty of correctness.

Award amounts shown reflect obligated or ceiling values as published by USAspending.gov at the time of the query. They are not revenue, are not guaranteed to be received, may cover multiple years, may be modified or terminated, and may relate to contracts predating the selected window. An award figure expressed as a proportion of market capitalization is an arithmetic ratio, not a measure of expected financial impact.

Before acting on any Screener result, verify the award directly at USAspending.gov and confirm the recipient's corporate relationship to the traded company through that company's own SEC filings at sec.gov/edgar. GOVXTRAC accepts no responsibility for decisions made in reliance on an incorrect match.

9. PERFORMANCE DATA AND HISTORICAL FIGURES

Any performance figure shown on the Platform describes past market prices only. Past performance does not indicate and does not guarantee future results.

Historical growth figures — including the value a hypothetical $10,000 position would have reached — are calculated from unadjusted historical closing prices. They assume a single purchase made on the stated date and held without alteration. They exclude dividends, commissions, fees, taxes, bid-ask spreads, slippage, and the effect of taxes on any gain. They do not represent the return of any actual account and no investor achieved these results.

Future results are affected by conditions outside GOVXTRAC's knowledge or control. These include, without limitation: armed conflict and geopolitical events; changes in government spending, appropriations and budget authority; modification, descoping, protest or cancellation of awarded contracts; regulatory, policy and administration change; macroeconomic and interest rate conditions; supply chain disruption; and company-specific events including litigation, restatement, dilution, delisting and insolvency.

GOVXTRAC reports factual data drawn from public sources. It does not recommend any security, does not tailor information to any individual's financial circumstances, objectives or risk tolerance, and accepts no compensation of any kind from any company covered on the Platform.
